Environmental Services Notice

2024 Spring Flushing

Municipal water systems hydrant and distribution flushing will take place from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the following schedule:

  • Scott Point - April 16th to 18th, 2024
  • Armow and Underwood - April 23rd to 25th, 2024
  • Tiverton - May 6th to 9th, 2024
  • Kincardine including Huronville and the pipeline to Inverhuron - May 6th to June 7th, 2024

Periods of discolouration may occur during flushing.

Reducing your water usage during flushing hours helps minimize the amount of sediment and discolouration introduced into your household system. Cold water taps may need to be flushed for several minutes and screens or filters cleaned up after distribution flushing has occurred. Run taps until water clears prior to completing any laundry.
