Municipality of Kincardine Cemeteries are open daily, seven days a week, from 7 a.m. until sundown. Cemetery roads are not maintained during winter months, unless there is a burial.
Cemeteries
The Municipality of Kincardine Cemeteries Administration Office is located at 294 Bruce Avenue, in the Kincardine Cemetery, and is open annually from April 1st to October 31. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. During this time, you can contact the office at 519-396-8496 with general cemetery inquiries.

Maintenance and operation
Seasonal maintenance at our cemeteries is completed from April 1st to October 31st each year.
Winter operations (December 1st to March 31st) are performed based upon request including off-season burial. No other maintenance is performed during this time.

What time can we visit the cemetery?
What can I place and/or plant at a grave?
Details about what is appropriate to place or plant at a grave in a Municipality of Kincardine Cemetery are found in the Cemetery By-Law, items 3.2 and 3.6.
All items are subject to the approval of the Cemetery Lead Hand.
Arrange a meeting with the cemetery to view the areas available by calling the Cemetery Lead Hand at 519-396-8496.
Ground Burials
At all three active cemeteries, you can purchase single graves that accommodate one casket and four (4) cremated remains.
Cremation
At the Kincardine and Port Bruce Cemeteries you can purchase cremation burial graves, which accommodate two (2) cremated remains.
The Kincardine and Tiverton Cemeteries have columbaria, which are above ground structures specially designed to hold containers of cremated remains. A niche is an individual compartment in a columbarium that accommodates up to three (3) cremated remains, which must be approved by the Cemetery Lead Hand.
What do the interment rights of a grave entitle you to?
Only the person whose name is on the deed has the right to be buried or allow any burials in that grave.
What are the fees for purchasing a grave, niche, or other cemetery services?

Are there details to know before purchasing a monument?
Monuments are to be made of granite or marble with no vertical joint and no ornament of stone, metal, or other material attached.
