Recognition and Memorials

You may wish to recognize the achievements of a community member, memorialize a loved one or promote a public awareness campaign. The Municipality has several policies which allow for citizens to request these types of recognitions.

Proclamations

Council does not make any proclamation on behalf of any group or entity.

Community Flag Poles

Requests for displaying flags or flag raising's are considered according to the Municipality of Kincardine's adopted Flag Protocol Policy.

You must fill out the Flag Flying Request Form at least 4 weeks prior to the requested date and e-mail it to the Executive Assistant.

Memorial Benches

Our commemorative bench program has returned! Applications are now open and will be considered on a first come, first served basis. Once the application is received by staff, we will contact you to confirm the remaining available locations. Applications will be open until June 28th, 2024, or until all spots are filled. 

If you are interested in the program this season, review the details of the program and fill out the application form.

A waiting list will not be kept, and individuals will need to re-apply next year if interested. If you have any questions you can send an email or call 519-396-3491 ext. 7300.

Provincial and National Champions

Council recognizes any person or group that wins a national or provincial competition. If you are representing a group deserving of this recognition you can contact by e-mail or call 519-396-3491 ext. 7301.
