Local grants and incentives are available for non-profit organizations, registered charities or new or expanding businesses.

Starter Company Plus - $5,000 to start a business

Access resources and guidance to launch you into entrepreneurial success. Offered through Bruce County, the Starter Company Plus program offers hands-on training, mentorship, and a $5,000 grant to help get you started. Training and mentorship components and tie commitments are tailored to your needs.

Summer Company - $3,000 to run a summer business (students)

Learning how to run your own student business is one of the best summer jobs you can have. You get to be your own boss while learning what it takes to manage a business. Sales, marketing, invoicing, bookkeeping, customer relationship management - these are just a few of the highly useful skills you will develop.

Summer Company is an Ontario government program that provides young people with the resources and knowledge they need to start a new summer business.

Spruce the Bruce builds vibrant communities through the support of local businesses and municipalities. The program brings stakeholders together to create a vision for future growth and development and provides tools and grants to achieve that vision.
