Fees and Charges

The Municipality of Kincardine collects development charges to cover the cost of infrastructure. Capital assets such as roads, sewers, water, fire stations, police stations, recreation facilities, etc.

Municipal development charges are adjusted annually.

 

For any residential or non-residential development if you are:

  • Constructing a new building (not replacement)
  • Building an addition or alteration to an existing building which increases the floor area or number of units
  • Changing the use of a property

To find out if exemptions are applicable to your projects, contact the Building Department.

Development charges are collected by the Municipality to finance the construction of a new capital infrastructure, as a result of the growth stemming from land development in the Municipality of Kincardine.

The Development Charges By-law imposes a charge on all lands developed within the Municipality of Kincardine. With exceptions. The Municipality of Kincardine completed a Development Charges Background Study. If you would like a copy of the study, please contact the building department.
