On Saturday October 26, 2024, the second annual Afro Caribbean Youth Awards will be held.

This is an amazing opportunity for people to gather, celebrate and honour the achievements of Afro Caribbean youth in Grey and Bruce counties in a culturally rich environment.

Nominations

Tell us about a youth that you know who demonstrate the following characteristics:

To nominate a youth complete the online form or you can request a paper nomination form. The nominations will be open until September 1, 2024.

Award Ceremony

The award ceremony will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine. This year, we are pleased to welcome Phillip Saunders back to our community!

Phillip is a multidisciplinary artist and arts educator who is based in Toronto, Ontario. Phillip not only created the Afrocentric Mural located at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine, but his work can be viewed throughout Ontario.  His practice includes oil painting, charcoal drawing, mural making and digital illustrations.

Levels

Bronze - $350+

Sponsors at this level will receive a thank you advertisement, acknowledgement in the evening program and certificate of sponsorship.

Silver - $1000 +

Sponsors at this level will receive a thank you advertisement, acknowledgment in the evening program, certificate of sponsorship, sponsor will have the opportunity to provide a banner that will be displayed at the event.

Gold - $2500 +

Sponsors at this level will receive a thank you advertisement, acknowledgement in the evening program, certificate of sponsorship, and sponsors will have the opportunity to have an award named after their organization.
