Council Highlights - January 8th, 2025

The Municipality of Kincardine Council Meeting was held in Council Chambers at 1475 Concession 5, RR #5 Kincardine at 5:00 p.m.

Highlights from the meeting include:

Bulldogs Camera Agreement Report

Council passed a By-law to approve a 5-year Agreement with the Kincardine Bulldogs Club, for the purposes of video streaming Junior C games at the Davidson Centre. The Agreement confirms responsibility to be on the Bulldogs Club, as it pertains to Freedom of Information requests.

Human Resources Policies Update Report

Council approved the updated Human Resources Corporate Policies, to ensure accuracy and alignment with legislation and best practices.

Appoint Don Huston as Acting Deputy Fire Chief

Matt Cottrill, Deputy Fire Chief for Station 12, retired as of January 1st after 22 years of service. The Municipality of Kincardine would like to thank Matt Cottrill for his significant contributions to the Fire and Emergency Services in the Municipality of Kincardine.

As a result of this retirement, the Municipality approved a By-law to appoint Senior Captain Don Huston as Acting Deputy Fire Chief for Station 12, on an interim basis until a new Deputy Fire Chief is selected.

Upcoming Meetings

The next Municipality of Kincardine Special Council Meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Monday January 13th, 2025 and the next regular Council Meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025. These meetings will be held in Council Chambers at the Municipal Administration Centre, 1475 Concession 5, RR #5 Kincardine.
