Council Highlights - September 25th, 2024

The Municipality of Kincardine Council Meeting was held in Council Chambers at 1475 Concession 5, RR #5 Kincardine at 5:00 p.m.

Highlights from the meeting include:

Bluewater Trailer Park Report

Council approved a final three-year agreement with Lisa Stacey for the purposes of management of the Bluewater Trailer Park, with an expiry date of October 31, 2027.

Great Lakes Local Action Fund

The Great Lakes Local Action Fund is available to assist with improvements to climate change resiliency through ecosystem protection and restoration as well as protect and improve water quality. Council approved a submission to the Fund in the amount of $100,000 for the purposes of enhancing Station Beach boardwalk area.

Council Vacancy – Committee Vacancies Report

With the declaration of the vacant seat of Councillor Ward 1, the Committee positions held by Councillor Kennedy become vacant. Council approved appointing: Councillor Hinchberger to the Saugeen Mobility and Regional Transit Board for a term of 4 months; Councillor Prenger to the Bruce Area Solid Waste Recycling Board for a term of 4 months; and Councillor Cavanagh to the Community Investment Grant Review Team for a term of 4 months.

The next Municipality of Kincardine Council meeting is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9th, 2024. This meeting will be held in Council Chambers at the Municipal Administration Centre, 1475 Concession 5, RR #5 Kincardine.
