Council Meeting Info- March 27, 2024

The Municipality of Kincardine Council Meeting was held in Council Chambers at 1475 Concession 5, RR #5 Kincardine at 5 p.m.

Highlights from the meeting include: 

Secord Monument Engagement 

Council received update on the engagement process regarding the Secord Monument and meet with the facilitator, Dr. Laura Mae Lindo. The facilitator will not be making a recommendation to Council on the future of the monument. The facilitator’s role is to collect and present information gathered from the community to assist Council in its decision making. 

This is the first report in a series of updates to Council on the progress and information gathered from the engagement process. 

Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan 

Council received a copy of the draft Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan completed by Mc Queen Galloway Associates (MGA) through community engagement and interviews with Council and staff. 

The Plan is for the purpose of providing direction for the future of parks, facilities, and programs in the Municipality of Kincardine. 

2024 Recommended Community Investment Grant Allocations 

Council approved the Community Investment Grant Allocations for 2024 

Upcoming Meetings 

The next Municipality of Kincardine Council meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. This meeting will be held in Council Chambers at the Municipal Administration Centre, 1475 Concession 5, RR #5 Kincardine.
