Distribution System Flushing

Notice to the users of Municipal Water Systems near the Kincardine Water Treatment Plant located on Durham St. and the Highland and McLeod area.

Hydrant and distribution system flushing will take place on the following days during between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. beginning Monday, November 27th through Friday, December 1st, 2023.

Please note that periods of discolouration may take place during flushing. Reducing your water usage during flushing hours will help to minimize the amount of sediment and discolouration introduced into your household system. Household cold water taps may need to be flushed for several minutes and screens or filters cleaned after distribution flushing has occurred prior to using the water. Please check taps prior to completing any laundry, and if discolouration is noted please run taps till water clears prior to completing any laundry.
