Facility Closures and Program Cancellations - January 27, 2025 - 8:30 p.m. Update

As of 8:30 p.m. Monday, January 27th, 2025, we remain under a Significant Weather Event declaration with snow squall and wind warnings still in effect. 

With the ongoing and forecasted weather conditions, We're looking ahead to tomorrow, Tuesday, January 28th, 2025 and based on the current weather predictions for overnight and into tomorrow, there will be some facility closures and programming changes:
 
🟢 The Davidson Centre will open at 6 a.m.
🔶 The pool at the Davidson Centre will not open until 8:30 a.m. and programming will resume with the 9:30 a.m. Aquafit
🔶 The Tiverton Sports Centre will open at its regular time if Highway 21 has reopened
🔶 The Underwood Community Centre will open at its regular time if Highway 21 has reopened
⛔ 9 a.m. Landfit Class at the Davidson Centre is cancelled

***PLEASE NOTE: Closures and cancellations may change by morning depending on the conditions and highway closures. We will provide further updates in the morning.

As of 8:30 p.m. we are asking people to remain at home and to only travel if absolutely necessary. Conditions are not good and plow operators are currently having a much needed rest before they return to work at 3 a.m. Many rural roads are likely impassable due to the conditions.

⛔ The Ontario Provincial Police - West Region are reporting that Highway 21 from Amberley to Southampton is closed.
⛔ Bruce County is reporting on their Bruce County Road Conditions webpage that the following county roads are closed:
• Bruce Road 4 From North limits of Teeswater to Kings Hwy 9
• Bruce Road 23 From Lorne Beach to Bruce Road 15
• Bruce Road 3 From Burgoyne to Hwy 21
• Bruce Road 9 From Hwy 6 to Lions Head
• Bruce Road 9 From Lions Head to Ferndale
• Bruce Road 9 From Ferndale to West Road
• West Road From Red Bay to Bruce Road 9
