Facility Closures and Program Cancellations - January 28, 2025 - 7 a.m. Update

Good morning! As of 7 a.m. this morning Tuesday, January 28th, 2025, we remain under a Significant Weather Event declaration with snow squall warning in effect. 

We have some road and facility closures along with programming changes:
 
⛔ The Municipal Administration Centre is closed
🟢 The Davidson Centre is open
⛔ The pool at the Davidson Centre remains closed this morning
⛔ The Tiverton Sports Centre is closed
⛔ The Underwood Community Centre is closed
⛔ 9 a.m. Landfit Class at the Davidson Centre is cancelled

Programming cancellations:
⛔ 9:30 a.m. Aquafit is cancelled
⛔ 10:30 a.m. Parent and Tot Swim is cancelled
⛔ 11:30 a.m. Lane Swim is cancelled

We will continue to assess conditions and roads and provide updates through the day.

Operations crews are reporting heavy snow and drifting with fair to poor visibility. There is a lot of work to be done to get roads passable. They are asking that people stay at home to allow crews to clear roads.

⛔ The Ontario Provincial Police - West Region are reporting that Highway 21 from Amberley to Port Elgin is closed.
⛔ Bruce County is reporting on https://www.brucecounty.on.ca/road-conditions that the following county roads are closed:
• Bruce Road 3 From Mildmay to Walkerton HWY 9
• Bruce Road 3 From Walkerton HWY 9 to Paisley
• Bruce Road 19 From Walkerton to Chesley
• Bruce Road 4 From North limits of Teeswater to Kings Hwy 9
• Bruce Road 23 From Lorne Beach to Bruce Road 15
• Bruce Road 86 From West limits of Lucknow to Kings Hwy 21
• Bruce Road 3 From Paisley to Bruce Road 40
• Bruce Road 3 From Burgoyne to Hwy 21
• Bruce Road 9 From Hwy 6 to Lions Head
• Bruce Road 9 From Lions Head to Ferndale
• Bruce Road 9 From Ferndale to West Road
• West Road From Red Bay to Bruce Road 9
• Bruce Road 3 From Bruce Road 40 to Burgoyne
⛔ Municipality of Kincardine Road Closures include:
• Sideroad 10 between Concession 11 and County Road 15
• Sideroad 5S from Southline to Huron-Kincardine West Boundary
