Facility Closures and Program Updates - February 18, 2025 - 11:30 a.m. Update

Hello again, everyone. Winter keeps on wintering today, Tuesday, February 18th, 2025. We remain under a Significant Weather Event declaration and a snow squall warning. As of 11:30 a.m.:

South Bruce OPP and our operations team are asking all motorists to PLEASE STAY OFF THE ROADS. More vehicles getting stuck and stranded motorists are slowing the clean-up process significantly. 

⛔ All Municipality of Kincardine rural roads are considered closed.

⛔ Goderich Street from Bruce Avenue to Huronville is also closed.

⛔ The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are reporting multiple road closures across southwestern Ontario. Details are available at https://511on.ca/ 

⛔ South Bruce OPP are advising that ALL county roads in Bruce County remain closed. AVOID ALL TRAVEL. If you are stranded, call 9-1-1 to tell police your location and if you're blocking any part of the road. Clear your exhaust of any snow.

⛔ The Davidson Centre will remain closed for the rest of the day. All drop-in activities and programs are cancelled including ice rentals, swimming lessons, and the Kincardine Kippers Swim Team.

⛔ The Municipal Administration Centre is closed with staff who are able to working remotely.

⛔ The Underwood Community Centre will remain closed for the day. 1 p.m. Seniors' Cards are cancelled.

⛔ The Tiverton Sports Centre will remain closed for the day. All rentals are cancelled.

⛔ The Kincardine Waste Management Centre at 437 Sideroad 15, Armow is closed.

⛔ Bruce Area Solid Waste Recycling is cancelling both garbage and recycling pick-ups for our area today. Recycling will be picked up on the next scheduled pick-up day. They will attempt to pick-up Tuesday's garbage collection on Thursday, February 20th.

We will continue to monitor conditions and closures. We will provide further updates as they become available.
