Facility Closures and Program Updates - February 19, 2025 - 7 a.m. Update

Good morning and happy Wednesday, February 19th, 2025. The Significant Weather Event declaration is still in effect and we remain under a snow squall warning. Here is your morning update as of 7 a.m.:

Our operations team are asking all motorists to PLEASE STAY OFF THE ROADS. Stuck vehicles and stranded motorists just slow down the clean-up process, so please - don't travel. 

⛔ All Municipality of Kincardine rural roads remain closed.

⛔ Goderich Street from Bruce Avenue to Huronville remains closed.

⛔ The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are reporting multiple road closures across southwestern Ontario. Details are available at https://511on.ca/ 

⛔ Bruce County roads updates: https://www.brucecounty.on.ca/road-conditions for details and updates.

⛔ The Davidson Centre will be closed until at least noon. This means there is no access to the health club, track arena, pool, or gym. We will provide an update just before noon.
⛔ All drop-in activities and programs before noon at the Davidson Centre are cancelled:
• 6:15 a.m. Lane Swim
• 9 a.m. Pilates
• 9 a.m. Seniors' Cards
• 9 a.m. Pickleball
• 9:30 a.m. Aquafit
• 10 a.m. Cardio Dance
• 11 a.m. Pilates
• 11:30 a.m. Lane Swim
⛔ Bluewater Girls' hockey games at 9 and 10:30 a.m. are cancelled.

⛔ The Municipal Administration Centre is closed with staff who are able to working remotely. This will disrupt regular service responses and your patience is appreciated.

⛔ The Underwood Community Centre will remains closed until at least noon.

⛔ The Tiverton Sports Centre is closed in the morning and an update will be provided to renters by the early afternoon about possible opening depending on conditions.

⛔ The Kincardine Waste Management Centre at 437 Sideroad 15, Armow is closed.

⛔ Bruce Area Solid Waste Recycling is cancelling both garbage and recycling pick-ups for our area. All recycling and garbage will be picked up on the next scheduled pick-up day.

We will continue to monitor conditions and closures.
