Facility Closures and Program Updates - February 19, 2025 - 8:15 p.m. Update

The last few days have been pretty epic weather-wise, and as we head toward the end of Wednesday, February 19th, 2025, we remain under a Significant Weather Event declaration. Here is your end-of-day update as of 8:15 p.m.:

🟡 Rural roads were opened this afternoon with caution for side roads since some of them remain well-drifted with some down to single lanes. Crews will work to get these clear, but it may take time. These roads should be avoided:
• Saugeen Street from Broadway Street to Kingsway Street
• Goderich Street from Bruce Avenue to the pumping station
• Bruce Saugeen Townline from Sideroad 33-24 to Greenock-Bruce Road North
• Sideroad 20 from Concession 12 to Bruce Saugeen Townline
• Sideroad 5S between Southline and the Huron-Kincardine West Boundary will remain closed until further notice.

❗ For tomorrow, Thursday, February 20th, 2025, things are working their way back towards regular scheduling:

🟢 The Davidson Centre will be open at 6 a.m. for those who can arrive safely. 
⛔ The Davidson Centre pool will remains closed until noon.
🟢 All other scheduled programs and drop-in activites at the Davidson Centre will be running.

⛔ The Tiverton Sports Centre is closed in the morning and an update will be provided to renters by the early afternoon about possible opening depending on conditions and road closures.
