Facility Closures and Program Updates - February 20, 2025 - 11:30 a.m. Update

It's a bit calmer day so far, though there's more snow falling as we head towards lunchtime on Thursday, February 20th, 2025. We remain under a Significant Weather Event declaration. Here is your 11:30 a.m. update:

🟡 Please take your time if you're choosing to travel in the Municipality of Kincardine, especially on the rural side roads. There's more snow falling and crews continue their efforts to get things cleaned up.

⛔ Sideroad 5S between Southline and the Huron-Kincardine West Boundary will remain closed until further notice.

⛔ The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are still reporting multiple road closures across southwestern Ontario. Details at https://511on.ca/ 

⛔ Bruce County is reporting that Bruce Road 23 From Bruce Road 15 to Bruce Road 20 remains closed. For more County road updates: https://www.brucecounty.on.ca/road-conditions 

🟢 The Davidson Centre is open and all scheduled programs and drop-in activities are running EXCEPT for the pool.

⛔ The Davidson Centre pool remains closed today. We hope to reopen the pool tomorrow morning and will provide further update this evening.

🟢 The Municipal Administration Centre is open.

🟢 The Tiverton Sports Centre will open this afternoon.

⛔ Underwood Community Centre is closed today.

We will continue to monitor conditions and closures. We'll provide updates as they become available.

If you choose to travel today: 
➡️ keep your vehicle cleared of snow, especially the headlights and taillights
➡️ turn on your vehicle's lighting system - auto lights don't turn on your rear lights, so you need to actually turn them on to help your vehicle to be seen from behind
➡️ keep your speed down - if you see snow, go slow
➡️ be patient and give plow operators room to do their work
