Facility Closures and Program Updates - February 21, 2025 - 7 a.m. Update

Good morning, and happy Friday! It's been quite the week weather-wise, and we remain under a Significant Weather Event declaration here in the Municipality of Kincardine. Here's your morning update as of 7 a.m., Friday, February 21st, 2025:

🟡 We're going to keep reminding you to take your time if you're choosing to travel, especially on the rural side roads. Crews are still working to get a few of those fully cleared. Leave yourself extra time and give the other travelers - and plow operators - around you some space. If you think you've had a rough week because of the weather, it won't get any better by being in a ditch or worse, an accident.

🟡 Crews are cutting back snowbanks in higher traffic areas, but use extra caution at intersections. 

⛔ Sideroad 5S between Southline and the Huron-Kincardine West Boundary will remain closed until further notice.

⛔ The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are still reporting multiple road closures across southwestern Ontario. Details at https://511on.ca/ 

⛔ Bruce County is reporting that Bruce Road 23 From Bruce Road 15 to Bruce Road 20 remains closed. For more County road updates: https://www.brucecounty.on.ca/road-conditions 

🟢 The Davidson Centre is open with all programs and drop-in activities running.

🟢 The Davidson Centre pool is open with all regularly scheduled activities and programs including swimming lessons.

🟢 The Municipal Administration Centre will be open.

🟢 The Tiverton Sports Centre will be open.

⛔ Underwood Community Centre is closed until Thursday, February 27th, 2025 at 8:30 a.m.
