Facility Closures and Program Updates - March 1, 2025 - 10:45 a.m.

The March lion continues to roar today, Saturday, March 1st, 2025. We are under a significant weather event declaration and a winter weather travel advisory. Here's a facility closures and program update as of 10:45 a.m.:

⛔ The Tiverton Sports Centre will remain closed for the day. All users have been notified. 

⛔ Figure skating at the Tiverton Sports Centre is cancelled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

⛔ The pool at the Davidson Centre is closing at 11 a.m. 

⛔ The 2 p.m. free swim sponsored by Kincardine Pride is cancelled and will be rescheduled. 

⛔ The 7 p.m. public swim is cancelled.

🟢 The 1 p.m. free skate sponsored by Kincardine Pride will continue as planned.

We're continuing to monitor conditions and closures. We'll provide further updates if there are any changes.

If you choose to travel today: 
➡️ keep your vehicle cleared of snow, especially the headlights and taillights
➡️ turn on your vehicle's lighting system - auto lights don't turn on your rear lights, so you need to actually turn them on to help your vehicle to be seen from behind
➡️ keep your speed down - if you see snow, go slow
➡️ be patient and give plow operators room to do their work
