Facility Closures & Cancellations Update - January 15, 2024 - 11:30 a.m.

Hope everyone is staying safe and warm out there today! Here’s your update for Monday, January 15, 2024, as of 11:30 a.m. about Municipality of Kincardine facilities and programming:

These facilities remain closed:

• The Tiverton & District Sports Centre with reassessment scheduled for 4 p.m. this afternoon.
• The Municipal Administration Centre
• Underwood Satellite Office and Bruce Township Community Centre

Staff are available by phone at 519-396-3468 or by e-mail. Please leave a voice message if there is no answer and calls will be returned as staff are able to do so.

The Davidson Centre is open including the Health Club, Gym, and ice.

• All drop-in programs are available for those who can get to the Davidson Centre safely and include lane swim, adult swim, pickleball, and card games.
• All of today’s swimming lessons are cancelled and are rescheduled to be made up on March 18th.

Garbage and recycling curbside pick-up by Bruce Area Solid Waste Recycling is running as scheduled except for on closed roads. They will provide an update if they need to make any changes.

The Significant Weather Event declared on Friday, January 12th, 2024, remains in effect. A reminder that this declaration isn’t a notice of a reduced level of service or a highway closure. It means you need to be careful when travelling on Municipality of Kincardine roadways as it may take longer than usual to maintain or improve road conditions.
