Facility Closures & Cancellations Update - January 15, 2024 - 7 a.m.

The weather conditions continue to be nasty today, Monday, January 15th, 2024. Here is your update from 7 a.m. about Municipality of Kincardine facilities and programming:

These facilities are closed today due to conditions:

• The Municipal Administration Centre
• The Tiverton & District Sports Centre
• Underwood Satellite Office and Bruce Township Community Centre

Staff are available by phone at 519-396-3468. Please leave a voice message if there is no answer and calls will be returned as staff are able to do so.

The Davidson Centre is open including the Health Club, Gym, and ice for drop-in programs only.

• The pool is closed and all programming including swimming lessons beginning at 9:30 a.m. are cancelled.
• Land fit class at 8:30 a.m. is cancelled.

Davidson Centre staff will reassess and provide an update at 11 a.m. about whether afternoon and evening programming will be running.

Garbage and recycling curbside pick-up by Bruce Area Solid Waste Recycling is running as scheduled. They will provide an update if they need to make any changes.

The Significant Weather Event declared on Friday, January 12th, 2024, remains in effect. A reminder that this declaration isn’t a notice of a reduced level of service or a highway closure. It means you need to be careful when travelling on Municipality of Kincardine roadways as it may take longer than usual to maintain or improve road conditions.
