Facility, Road, and Program Updates - March 6, 2025 - 9:30 p.m.
It's 9:30 p.m. and today, Thursday, March 6th, 2025 is nearly in the books as another stormy winter day in Bruce County - and beyond.
Here's your evening facility, road, and programming update for the Municipality of Kincardine looking ahead to tomorrow, Friday, March 7th, 2025:
⛔ The Davidson Centre pool will remain closed. We hope to open for the 9:30 a.m. aquafit.
⛔ 6:15 a.m. lane swim is cancelled.
🟢 The Davidson Centre will open at 6 a.m. with all other programs and drop-in activities running as scheduled.
⛔ The Tiverton Sports Centre will reopen with the opening of Highway 21.
We will continue to monitor conditions and closures. We'll provide further update tomorrow morning.
⛔ The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are reporting road closures including Highway 21 from Amberley to Southampton. Details at https://511on.ca/
⛔ Bruce County is also reporting road closures. For more County road updates: https://www.brucecounty.on.ca/road-conditions
Remember, if you choose to travel:
➡️ keep your vehicle cleared of snow, especially the headlights and taillights
➡️ turn on your vehicle's lighting system - auto lights don't turn on your rear lights, so you need to actually turn them on to help your vehicle to be seen from behind
➡️ keep your speed down - if you see snow, go slow
➡️ be patient and give plow operators room to do their work
➡️ for road conditions and other traveler information, visit https://511on.ca/ or call 5-1-1. Never call 9-1-1 for road conditions or closures.
Thank you for your continued cooperation and understanding.
