Facility, Road, and Program Updates - March 7, 2025 - 9 a.m.

Happy Friday and good morning! It's 9 a.m. and a brand new day today, March 7th, 2025. Here's your facility, road, and programming update:

🟢 The Davidson Centre pool opens at 9:30 a.m. with Aquafit.

🟢 The Davidson Centre's programs and drop-in activities are running as scheduled.

🟢 The Tiverton Sports Centre will open today.

Our operations team is reporting that visibility is good, but those March winds are still causing some light to heavy drifting on rural roads. There's still some icy sections out there, so please take your time and use caution.

🟡 Crews are still dealing with some water on both Concession 12 and Victoria Street. Please avoid those areas if possible.

We're not out of the winter woods yet, so if you choose to travel:
➡️ keep your vehicle cleared of snow, especially the headlights and taillights
➡️ turn on your vehicle's lighting system - auto lights don't turn on your rear lights, so you need to actually turn them on to help your vehicle to be seen from behind
➡️ keep your speed down - if you see snow, go slow
➡️ be patient and give plow operators room to do their work
