Half-Load Restrictions in Effect

To protect municipal roads during the spring thaw, there are annual half-load restrictions from March 1st to April 30th. During this time vehicles are restricted to a maximum of 5 tonnes per axle.

Half-load restrictions are now in effect. Enforcement on roads where half-load signs are posted should be expected, specifically:

• North Street (year-round) and Bruce Avenue (from Highway 21 to Princes Street South)
• All Concession and sideroads throughout the Municipality, except Concession 2 from Highway 21 to its westerly limit.

Persons not obeying this regulation could be prosecuted under Section 122 of The Highway Traffic Act.
