New Townhouse Development Advances on Golf Links Road in Kincardine

KINCARDINE, ON – Bradstones Developments Inc. are advancing plans to develop a 1.7-hectare parcel of land on Golf Links Road in Kincardine. This follows the approval of the draft Plan of Vacant Land Condominium (VLC) at Bruce County Council on July 13, 2023.

The development includes thirty-six townhouse units, an internal private road, visitor parking, a stormwater management pond, and other common residential elements.

“As the Municipality continues to attract more commercial investments, particularly in the nuclear sector, it’s important that we have an adequate supply of housing to meet the demand,” noted Mayor Kenneth Craig. “Last year, we conducted a municipal housing survey. With over 1,000 responses, there was a lot of interest shown in townhouse units.”

“The proposed development is currently undergoing a Site Plan Control application and a Pre-Servicing Agreement which outline how the site is both developed and serviced,” noted Adam Weishar, Director of Infrastructure and Development.

The development process includes the presentation of numerous reports and studies, including design considerations surrounding functional servicing, stormwater management, archaeological and environmental/species at risk assessments. Having provided these detailed assessments through the site plan approval process, Bradstones has entered a formal agreement with the Municipality.
