Acknowledging Another Incredible Year for the Bruce Telecom Lighthouse Blues Festival

KINCARDINE, ON – Even the weather didn’t dampen the vibe that the Bruce Telecom Lighthouse Blues Festival weaved throughout downtown Kincardine this past weekend. The annual event again treated us to world-class performances, this year scattered across ten stages throughout lakeside downtown Kincardine.

“The optimism and creativity with which the Blues Festival organizers met the challenges presented by this year’s Downtown Dig project are commendable,” said Mayor Kenneth Craig. “This year’s dynamic approach to host the performances across the community resulted in a spectacular and memorable year.”

One of the Festival’s founding members, Rick Clarke, commented: “We are pleased to report that this year’s edition of the festival was our most successful by all metrics. With the support of our BIA and our other sponsors, we expanded the free Saturday Street Shuffle to provide more music and family entertainment for everyone in the community to enjoy.”

Noted as one of Festival & Events Ontario’s (FEO) Top 100 Festivals for 2023, the Municipality is proud to be the host for this world-class blues festival experience that subsequently gives so much back to charities in the community it calls home.

Mayor Craig expressed his appreciation: “our thanks and congratulations go out to everyone involved in making this fabulous gathering successful. From the organizers to the volunteers, to the performers and the audience members, the Bruce Telecom Lighthouse Blues Festival is something to be proud of.”

The event will be celebrating their 15^th anniversary in July 2024, with organizers already planning for another show-stopping celebration next year.
