Yard Waste Depots Open Longer
We’ve extended the time our Fall Yard Waste Depots will be open this season until Friday, November 10th, 2023.
Did You Know?
- Sites staying open is affected by budget.
- If the budget is used cleaning up the sites because they’re not being used properly, they can’t stay open as long.
- When compost – and garbage – is left outside of the bins (and when the depots aren’t open), it means staff time and machinery costs for clean up.
How Can You Make a Difference and Keep Your Depots Open Longer Each Year?
- Please have your contents in brown paper leaf bags and place them INSIDE the bin.
- Please, take the time to walk your yard waste into the BACK of the bin, working forward.
- Do not leave contents outside the bin or blocking the doors. The doors must be closeable without the need for heavy machinery to push the yard waste into the bin.
- If the bin is full, use the other bin (if applicable) or wait until they’ve been emptied to add your yard waste.
- Bins are switched out every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Thank you for your cooperation!
The sites are at:
- Kincardine Fall Yard Waste Depot - 520 Bruce Avenue
- Tiverton Fall Yard Waste Depot - McLaren Street behind the arena
