Garbage

To help collect your garbage and recycling from your home, please review the curbside garbage requirements:

Residents are required to have garbage at the curbside by 8:00 am. 

Garbage will be picked up on all statutory holidays, except for Christmas Day and New Year's Day. During a week that contains a statutory holiday, please place your garbage at the curbside by 8:00 a.m. on your normally scheduled collection day. The time of your collection may change, but the day will not change except for Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

All household garbage must be:

• At the curbside by 8 a.m.
• In acceptable containers
• Maximum weight per bag is 11kg. (25lbs) per bag
• Visible to drivers; not hidden behind a vehicle, snow bank or other obstruction
• Must contain household garbage only; free of hazardous or construction waste
• Have a bag tag affixed to each bag that is visible

Please note that drivers will not return to pick up missed garbage.

Bag Tags

All residential and commercial properties within The Municipality of Kincardine are required to purchase and place a Bag Tag on every bag of garbage placed at the curb for collection. Garbage must be protected from rodents, animals, insects and birds. The Municipality is not responsible for garbage not placed in a proper container.
