Swimming

The Municipality of Kincardine operates an indoor pool at the Davidson Centre.

The Pool Admission Policy

  • Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by a person over the age of 16.
  • Children 6-11 must complete a facility swim test to swim without an adult in the water.  The facility swim test consists of a 25m swim where the swimmer must maintain a horizontal position on their front and submerge their face.
  • Children under the age of five and those unable to complete the swim test must be accompanied by someone over the age of 16 in the water and must always remain within arms reach.  One adult may accompany 2 non-swimmers at one time.
  • A non-swimmer is one who does not complete the swim test or is under the age of five. It is up to the discretion of the lifeguard if a swimmer requires the use of a lifejacket.

View swim schedule for public swims, lane swims and aquafit classes.
